Why do you teach in a Christian school?
“I love integrating the truth from the Bible into all the subjects. Teaching here allows me to apply God’s Word to every part of life.”

Mrs. Cuthbert’s teaching career includes 13 years of homeschooling and 5 years of substituting, along with her years in the Grace classroom.

She and her husband, Doug, attend Sister Lakes Community Church, where Doug serves as a pastor. Mrs. Cuthbert assists her husband in the high school ministry group, teaches in Kids Town, and participates in many other church ministries. She has traveled on six mission trips to Peru and one to Africa.

The Cuthberts have four children: Andrea Bernard (husband, Jerry), Amy Warkentien (husband, Nick), Alysse Chengo (husband, Estone), and Andrew (wife, Melissa). They have been blessed with 6 grandchildren.

While living for three years with her family in Anchorage, AK, Mrs. Cuthbert watched the start of two Iditarod Dog Sled Races. She incorporates this experience into the classroom through the “Iditaread”, a favorite memory for many Grace Christian School students.
