Why do you teach in a Christian School?

“As a teacher, I hope to create a classroom that blends a unique community of learners that varies not only in abilities, but also in learning styles.  I believe that a classroom should be a caring, safe, and reasonable environment that gives each student the best chance to succeed.  (Teaching) gives me the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and to enhance the way they view learning in a positive way.  I’m excited about teaching at a Christian school because not only do I get to mold and impact the next generation, I get to openly share and teach about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I couldn’t ask for a better situation to be in! Thank you Jesus!!!”

A 2002 graduate of Hartford, Mr. Dill worked full time at Lakeland Health Care for 13 years while earning his degree. Working with children at church in some capacity since the age of 14, Mr. Dill currently teaches Sunday School for 9-12 year olds and serves as a youth pastor with his wife at New Life Christian Center in Coloma.

Mr. Dill is blessed to be married to his best friend, Rebecca (a nurse at Lakeland), and to be the father of Jamin, Jaxon, and Jathan (current GCS students).  In his free time, he loves to play games with his boys, spend time with his family, and root for the Michigan Wolverines.  He also plays drums for the praise-and-worship team at his church.
