Preschool Director, Special Education, Library Services
Elizabeth (Beth) Corwin grew up in Decatur, Michigan and has lived in Southwest Michigan her entire life. She attended GCS in Kindergarten through 12th grades and graduated in the early 2000s. She and her husband, Dan, married in 2004 and now have two children – Aimee, who is also now a graduate of GCS, and Spencer. After both of her children began school, Mrs. Corwin went back to school and earned her associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Southwestern Michigan College. A few years later she earned her B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education through Liberty University Online.
Mrs. Corwin began working at GCS in 2011 and is currently the Preschool Director, Special Education Coordinator, and Librarian. She ensures that the Preschool program and staff are following state guidelines and regulations as well as providing an excellent beginning education for our youngest students. She works with our students who need extra support in education, connecting them with tutoring or other accommodations needed to help each student be successful, no matter what difficulties they may be facing. In the library she regularly helps students find books that will interest them and help them grow to love reading.
