Mrs. Joan Skipper grew up in Stevensville and graduated from Lakeshore High School. She then graduated from Lake Michigan College and St. Mary’s College. She has an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in History. Joan worked for several years at an insurance agency, but felt the need to stay home with her boys when they were born. She felt God leading her to homeschool them, and did so for 9 years in total. Mrs. Skipper has worked as the Office Secretary and the First Grade Teacher at Grace Christian School in prior years. Joan’s two sons, Adam and Jacob attend Grace in the 12th and 8th grades. She is married to Mike and they have a cat, Fluffy. They have been members of Berrien County Baptist Church in Stevensville for the past 16 years.She enjoys reading, being outside, and playing the piano. Mrs. Skipper is happy to help in whatever ways God leads her at Grace Christian School.
